Using TrueCrypt with Nomadesk

It is possible to use a TrueCrypt image file inside your Nomadesk Vault but you will need to adjust some settings in TrueCrypt first. By default, TrueCrypt doesn't change the modifaction timestamp of the TrueCrypt image file. When the timestamp doesn't change, Nomadesk can't detect if files are modified within the TrueCrypt image file.

To avoid this problem, follow these steps:

• open TrueCrypt, go to Settings and Preferences

• in the preferences, uncheck the Preserve modification timestamp of file containers and click OK

• you can now use the TrueCrypt image file on your Vault. Changes made to the TrueCrypt image file will be detected and synced, without needing to sync the complete TrueCrypt image file every time.
