Nomadesk security

We encrypt your files locally with 256-bit AES encryption. In addition, the files you sync to the server are transfered using 256-bit SSL connection and you have the ability to shred the documents on a lost or stolen machines using TheftGuard. When the Nomadesk dashboard is closed, your Vaults are invisible and protected by 256-bit AES encrypted file system. When the Nomadesk dashboard is launched, your password-protected Vaults appear, ready to be accessed like a local drive. Your files are stored on a secure server in the cloud and can only be accessed through a registered Nomadesk dashboard.

Additionally, you can use two factor authentication to make your account even more secure.

Nomadesk guarantees:

• Encrypted local buffer storage (i.e. 256 bit AES)
• Encrypted data transfer over the internet
• Strong server authentication

TheftGuard: Theft or loss of a computer is stressful enough without having to worry about someone accessing your critical data. Each Nomadesk dashboard has a unique serial number (the Device ID), which allows you to track access to your Vault. In the event that your computer is lost or stolen you can remotely shred the files on the lost computer as soon as someone tries to access them.
